How to Buy Bitcoin on Cash App and Complete Your Payment

Cash App is one of the easiest ways to buy Bitcoin and send it to a Bitcoin wallet. Follow the steps below to purchase Bitcoin and complete your payment securely.

Step 1: Download Cash App

Download the official Cash App from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.

Create your account using your phone number or email address, then follow the instructions to complete your setup.

Step 2: Link Your Debit Card or Bank Account

Once your Cash App account is created, link your debit card or bank account.

This allows you to add funds and purchase Bitcoin directly inside Cash App.

Step 3: Verify Your Identity

Before buying or sending Bitcoin, Cash App may ask you to verify your identity.

You may be required to provide your:

  • Full name

  • Date of birth

  • Address

  • Photo ID

  • Other required account information

This verification is required by Cash App before Bitcoin features are fully enabled.

Step 4: Tap the Money Tab

Open Cash App and tap the Money tab on the home screen.

This is usually the bank/money icon on the home screen.

Step 5: Select Bitcoin

Look for the Bitcoin section. You may see options like Buy, Sell, Send, or Receive.

Step 6: Tap “Buy Bitcoin”

Choose Buy and enter the amount of Bitcoin you want to purchase.

Make sure the amount is enough to cover your order total and any Cash App transaction or withdrawal fees.

Step 7: Review and Confirm Your Purchase

Cash App will show you the Bitcoin amount, exchange rate, and any fees before you confirm.

Review everything carefully, then confirm the purchase using your Cash App PIN, Face ID, or Touch ID.

Step 8: Send Bitcoin to Our Wallet

After buying Bitcoin, return to the Bitcoin section and choose Send or Withdraw Bitcoin.

Copy the Bitcoin wallet address we provided and paste it carefully into Cash App.

Before confirming, double-check the wallet address. 

Step 9: Confirm the Bitcoin Transfer

Enter the amount you want to send, review the details, and confirm the transaction.

Once sent, the Bitcoin transaction will be processed on the blockchain. Processing time may vary depending on network activity.

Step 10: Order Confirmation

You should receive your order confirmation email immediately after your payment is detected.

If you do not receive an order confirmation after about 30 minutes, please contact us with your order number and Bitcoin transaction confirmation so we can verify your payment manually.
